Minnesota Democrats make headway in Carver County (population 106,922)

Trump received 4,953 more votes than he did in 2016, a 17% increase.

Biden received 9,266 more votes than Clinton did in 2016, an increase of 43%.  

Trump's share of the vote decreased by 0.9 percentage points.  Biden decreased Clinton's share of the vote by 7.8 percentage points.


The last time Carver County voted Democratic in a presidential election was 1932, when FDR was overwhelmingly elected to his 1st of four terms in office.  The county even voted for Barry Goldwater in 1964, one of 4 of Minnesota's 87 counties to do so.
