Spiros, of Marshfield, defeated Mosinee Mayor Brent Jacobson in Tuesday's Republican primary for the 86th Assembly District. He received 65 percent of the vote.
Spiros has represented the district, which includes parts of Marathon and Wood counties, since 2012. If re-elected in November, he aims to prioritize business development and secure long-term funding for the transportation industry. He also wants to look into developing more mental health facilities in the area.
