House Bill 609, also known as the “Montana Locker Room Privacy Act,” carried by Rep. Carl Glimm, R-Kila, would define sex as “a person’s immutable biological sex as objectively determined by anatomy and genetics existing at the time of birth.”
The bill would have created a ballot referendum for November 2018. The House Judiciary Committee voted 7-11. It was then tabled, where it could be revisited or expired.
