We just learned that he still has a $1,200,000 campaign debt, even though he raised nearly $8,000,000 while trying to secure the 2016 Republican Presidential nomination.
This on top of the fact that he also burned through all of the $514,000 he raised -- and more -- in his state, i.e., gubernatorial, campaign fund during the 2nd half of 2015.
Walker ends 2015 with $20,000 in state campaign fund. (Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, 1/15/2016)
Two things to keep in mind:
- Scott Walker was re-elected to a 2nd term on November 4, 2014.
- The next gubernatorial election takes place on November 5, 2018.
In addition, he and Tonette have put up their Wauwatosa home for sale. They have no plans to live in the People's Home of Wisconsin fulltime. We just wouldn't want him to get too comfortable there.
