Hypocrisy alert: The Oklahoma Republican Party believes "that government closest to the people governs best and is preferred to centralized control"



Or so they say.

At least eight bills have been filed at the Oklahoma Legislature that would stop cities from enacting bans on drilling or related oil and gas development. The Oklahoma Municipal League is monitoring the bills, but said they prefer to leave the decisions on development to local authorities.
