The Bad Fruits of Race Hustling. (National Review, 10/22/2013)
Curious headline, under which is a photo of Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton Jr.
Sowell really doesn't like those 2 guys.
Blanket statement. There have been black generals in the Air Force.
Well, sure, you can't argue with that.
But I'm more interested in learning how many African-Americans have achieved the rank of United States Air Force four-star general. (Henry H. Arnold was the first of 198 men and 1 woman to achieve the rank on March 19, 1943)
- Daniel James Jr. (September 1, 1975)
- Bernard P. Randolph (August 1, 1987)
- Lloyd W. Newton (April 1, 1997)
- Lester Lyles (July 1, 1999)
- Edward A. Rice Jr. (November 17, 2010)
- Larry O. Spencer (July 27, 2012)
