Jardin du Luxembourg

From the "DK Eyewitness Travel Top 10 Paris".

"This 60- acre park is a swathe of green paradise on the very urban Left Bank. The formal gardens are set around Palais du Luxembourg with broad terraces encircling the central octagonal pool. Many of the garden's statues were erected during the 19th century."

The Jardin du Luxembourg was our first stop during an extended walk through the Left Bank.

Yesterday I discovered that I was able to wear my belt a notch tighter. No weight gain on this vacation due to miles of walking each day. Even with the regular intake of chocolate ganache or cheesecake from our favorite neighborhood bakery.
