Stanley ponders moving public library to school complex. (Eau Claire Leader-Telegram, 11/13/2011)
Excerpt: Visitors to the public library in Stanley soon may be borrowing their favorite books at the site of the Stanley school district.
City officials are discussing whether to relocate the D.R. Moon Memorial Library, 154 Fourth Ave., about four blocks to the southeast at the school district complex, 507 E. First Ave., schools Superintendent Jim Jones said.
"The city approached us about looking jointly at a school and public library," Jones said.
The superintendent admitted there are some opponents to the idea, such as some residents who are concerned about public access to a library that is part of a school.
