New Lebanon Junction Library Branch Now Open

Link to July 21 Louisville Courier-Journal article, "New chapter begins at library".

Excerpt: The $1.5 million library comes after four to five years of work finding a suitable location for the new facility, designing the structure and construction.

The library's staff had been in the old cinderblock library for roughly 25 years and, given its small size, holding teen and children's programs had been a challenge, they said.

"The other one was a cozy, little library, and we really enjoyed it," Yocum said. "But we definitely needed something bigger."

The new library has separate children's and teens' sections, along with a study room, 13 computers and a large meeting room that can hold 55 people
.

Lebanon Junction is part of the Bullitt County Public Library.

Sorry, but Retiring Guy can't help himself.  Someone just made a reference to one of his all-time favorite movies.
