Michelle was already on an upward trajectory when the Beatles released their 1965 Rubber Soul album, which includes the cut "Michalle".   Michelle as a baby name jumped from #18 in 1965 to #4 in 1966 and peaked at #2 in 1968, 1969, 1971, and 1971.  Michele remained in the top 10 until 1980.
