Scott Walker in so many words: We'll talk if you have an invitation

As quoted in DIGGING DEEPER: Walker security costs down considerably in 2016.  (WKOW, 6/27/2016)

The article notes that Walker has held 43 listening sessions so far this year.

A recent one was held in Pepin.

“We’re happy with the turnout,” said Johnson. “We didn’t prevent any of the invited guests from being heard, but we thought that if the governor was coming all the way from Madison on the taxpayer’s dime, he should listen to more than a hand-picked set of local citizens.”

The Case of the Quadrennial Democrats

Maybe next time WKOW will dig with more than this utensil.

Read the display for yourself: Siriusly Sinatra plays Otis Redding

Written by Jimmy Campbell, Reg Connelly, and Harry M. Woods, "Try a Little Tenderness" was first recorded on December 8, 1932, by the Ray Noble Orchestra.

Frank Sinatra's version appeared on a 4-disc set of 78 rpm records, The Voice of Frank Sinatra, released on March 4, 1946.

Otis Redding's version made its debut on the Billboard Hot 100 on December 3, 1966.  It spent 10 weeks on the chart, peaking at #25.

In an inspired bit of programing, guest DJ Carly Simon played these 2 versions of this classic song back-to-back.
