First of all, there wasn't just one protest at the Wisconsin State Capital. There were multiple large gatherings.
There were a series of rallies during the week of Monday, February 14, 2011, to protest Scott Walker's bill to end collective bargaining for union, his campaign "divide-and-conquer" strategy.
