Excerpt: If executed properly, the proposed district library — which would result from a merger of the Adrian and Lenawee County library systems — can be one of those ideas.
The details of what the new system would look like can’t be fully known for the simple reason that most decisions will be up to the new library district’s board, a body that doesn’t exist yet. But here’s how we think the process should ultimately unfold:
— The district should not continue to operate two libraries in Adrian, located on the same street just a few miles apart.
