Excerpt: Renovations at the Donner Avenue facility began May 24 with asbestos removal.
Construction will include a new roof, electrical upgrades and new lighting, and a new heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system.
Zilka said an elevator will be added. The existing lift is used for freight.
Restrooms will be overhauled and new furniture and bookshelves will be added.
The patio area and some facade improvements are on the list of renovations.
