PSC approves pipeline to aid mining companies. (Eau Claire Leader-Telegram, 6/27/2014)
Boss's orders. The Wisconsin Public Service Commission has approved a $182 million pipeline project between Fairchild and Tomah that brings natural gas to frac sand mining processors and several western Wisconsin communities.
By a 2-1 vote, commissioners said the WE Energies pipeline was in the public's interest because it serves future economic development needs, brings natural gas to areas not currently served and adds needed capacity to the Black River Falls and Tomah areas.
