A closer look at Wisconsin's population loss: Lincoln County

The population of Lincoln County grew steadily from 1880 until 1920.  For the next 40 years, its population remained relatively flat. Between 1960 and 2000, it grew by 33%, a trend that has since been reversed.  Lincoln County has lost an estimated 5.5% of its population of the 2000 federal census.
