Uihlein has supported Republican candidates and far-right political groups since 1997. Forbes reported that Uihlein and his wife, Elizabeth, spent more than $5 million in the 2014 midterm elections.

"Rich Man" appears on the Climax Blues Band 2nd studio album, which debuted on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart for the week ending February 17, 1973.  It spent 10 weeks on the chart, peaking at #150.
