Bevin challenged McConnell in the 2014 GOP primary for the U.S. Senate.
During the race, McConnell used his multi-million-dollar television campaign to call Bevin "dishonest," dubbed him "Bailout Bevin," and said he wasn't "a Kentucky conservative." His aides called Bevin an "east coast con-man."
And then there's this incident.
As the hours ticked by on Monday with the N.S.A. restricted in its operations, Mr. McConnell’s growing impatience with Mr. Paul, his junior home-state colleague and a man he has endorsed for president, flared as Mr. McConnell went to the floor to seek an agreement to hasten Senate approval of the House bill.
