GET ME REWRITE: Now we know what would have happened if Alabama segregationist George Wallace had been elected president in 1968

First Felon Donald Trump is obsessed with alleged discrimination against white people.  George Wallace would have stood in the doorway in agreement.

Danielle James reports:
The investigation was announced by the OCR in a Friday, March 14, letter in response to alleged violations of Title VI, which was passed as part of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and prohibits race-based discrimination by programs receiving federal financial assistance.
GVSU is one of six universities that could be in violation of Title VI because of several of its scholarships.
In January, a Rhode Island group filed a federal civil rights complaint against GVSU, alleging the university was engaged in “illegal [white] race discrimination” by using race, color and/or national origin as a qualifier for 11 scholarships available to students for the 2025-26 school year

Wallace received 10% of Michigan's presidential vote in 1968, the result of a white freakout over what had occurred in Detroit the previous year
