One of the more recent transplants is Staff’s colleague on the Town Board, Larry Beck, who moved to Albion from Madison to be closer to a job in Janesville.
After putting down roots, Beck decided to stay put in retirement. Beck thinks the change in voting patterns might be related to long-term trends in demographics and farming but acknowledged he’s mystified by the political shift.
