Tea Party alert: Glenn Grothman supports increase in federal gas tax


Which has been stuck at 18.4 cents per gallon since 1992.

Republican Congressman Glenn Grothman of Campbellsport thinks increasing the gas tax is the fairest way to raise that money.

U.S. Representative Glenn Grothman also supported an increase in the state gas tax while serving in the Wisconsin legislature.


In this regard, Grothman is on the same page as his predecessor, of whom he said, "If I get compared to Tom Petri in two years, I'd be insulted."
