Wisconsin DNR Mine Permitting Rules Faulty; Republican Outrage to Follow......

DNR concedes its rules are faulty, then allows more frac sand mining.  (Wisconsin State Journal, 12/16/2014)

Sounds to me like another page from the "Right the Rules" playbook

Agency staff members have been unable to write a new sand mining permit with stronger environmental protections, but the DNR has continued to allow new mines opened up, said water division deputy director Russ Rasmussen.
