CES 2017: Griffin Connected Toaster

Report: The weird and the wonderful at CES 2017.  (Hidden Wires, 1/31/2017)
As Nicole sez in the video, "I don't know if I need it, but it is pretty cool".   Not a ringing endorsement.  Toast with those eggs? How about a connected toaster? No problem, as Griffin’s Connected Toaster not only lets you use an app to start your breakfast and internal sensors that make certain your toast is perfect. Is it fresh or frozen? A bagel or gluten free? Want it lighter or dark? Your app is its command.

Yours for $99.  Available for purchase in the 2nd quarter of 2017.

Rodney Rothman uses the ToastTek Smart Toaster as a springboard for some satiric riffing on smart technology.  After just a few uses, SmartToaster begins learning your personal toasting preferences. Is lightly browned rye your thing? SmartToaster will know! Do you crave a pizza bagel at 4 a.m.? SmartToaster will remember and not pass judgment!

The ToastTek smart Toaster must have been an instant flop.
