to February 24 Seattle Times article, "Seattle Public Library opens conversation on its future".

Excerpt
: The Seattle Public Library is renowned for its huge selection of books, fiction and nonfiction, which the public can check out.

The library is famous for its extensive digital collection and classes it offers on everything from tax help to job skills to homework assistance.

What is the role of the public library in the lives of Seattle residents? The library wants to know.

It is launching what it calls a "citywide conversation" to help plan for the library through 2015. It's the first effort to tap into the wishes of the city since the 1998 Libraries For All ballot measure that built a new downtown library and many new branch libraries.
