Amazon will not locate its second office in Milwaukee, Wisconsin

What Amazon is looking for:
  1. Metro area population of 1,000,000+ (Milwaukee is one of 52)
  2. Strong job growth in addition to 1 mil pop.  (The list is reduced to 25, Milwaukee not included)
  3. Right labor pool, one that is large and growing.  (14 cities:  Boston, New York, Washington, Raleigh, Charlotte, Atlanta, Miami, Austin, Dallas, Indianapolis, Denver, San Jose, San Francisco, Portland OR)
  4. Also have a high quality of life (9 cities:  Boston, Washington, Raleigh, Atlanta, Miami, Austin, Dallas, Denver, Portland
  5. Also places where workers can easily get around and out of town (4 cities:  Boston, Washington, Denver, Portland)
  6. Has space and willing to pay to play.  (And the winner is:  Denver)
Milwaukee will have to settle for the residual effects of Foxconn.
