Marshfield Public Library's Winter Reading Program for Adults

Link to February 1 Marshfield News Herald report, "Library offers incentives".

Excerpt: The library's Adult Winter Reading Program combines weekend activities, reading and prizes in order to keep people turning pages.

"This can be a cold and gloomy time of year," said Barb Cobientz, reference specialist at the Marshfield Public Library. "So this is a way to have fun activities at the library for the whole community."

For every book a person reads, he or she can enter a drawing to receive prizes from local business owners.

"This is designed to be easy," Cobientz said. "As you read or listen to audio books, you just write them down."

In addition to reading, until March 8, the program will offer a weekly event, such as a digital photography course. A craft day was held Saturday.
