GET ME REWRITE: When Rick Esenberg tells the 4 lapdogs on the Wisconsin Supreme Court to roll over, they earn themselves a doggy bone
“The power to take measures ‘reasonable and necessary’ cannot be reasonably read as an open-ended grant of authority,” Justice Rebecca Bradley wrote for the majority. “Doing so would swallow the rest of the statute and render it mere surplusage.” Rick Esenberg, president of the conservative Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty, which represented some of the plaintiffs in the case, hailed the decision. The Esenberg-Bradley connection.
4/9/2021 update, "4 GOP lapdogs on Wisconsin Supreme Court squat, piss on $50 million in federal food aid", starts here.
"Whether the additional funding for Wisconsin's food stamp program known as FoodShare would be lost had been in question until Wednesday, when Goodsitt confirmed the money was lost for May and would be in jeopardy for the future if lawmakers do not act to enact an emergency declaration.

"The ripple effects of this change will be immediate and devastating for individuals, families, and entire communities," Goodsitt said.
3/31/2021 update, " GOP lapdogs on Wisconsin Supreme Court team stomp on public health guidance, overrule Governor's ability to order COVID protections", starts here.
The long-anticipated ruling comes just days before Democratic Gov. Tony Evers' current face mask requirement is set to expire next week. It leaves the state without any virus restrictions going forward as officials look to expand vaccination efforts and health experts have confirmed the emergence of a third COVID variant.
In the 4-3 ideologically-split decision, the court's conservative majority sided with Republicans who brought and supported the lawsuit, ruling it's not within a governor's power to issue successive public health emergency orders tied to the the same crisis without legislative approval.
11/27/2020 update, "GOP lapdogs on Wisconsin Supreme Court team up with Tighty Whities @WILL to overrule local public health officials and spread the virus in Racine", starts here.
From March 2, when Racine County recorded its first confirmed COVID case, through September 30, the county reported a total of 4,976 cases, an average of 23 new cases per day.
Since October 1, Racine County reported an additional 8,619 cases, an average of 157 new cases per day.
Racine County currently ranks 20th among the state's 72 counties in highest COVID-19 positive test rate per 100,000 persons.

GET ME REWRITE: Glenn Grothman regains the lead over Tom Tiffany for WISCONSIN STATE EMBARRASSMENT
The proposal allocates $225 billion for child care for children under age 5. The plan aims to cover all child care expenses for families with lower income and reduce child care costs for middle-class families, according to a CNBC report.
During the hearing, Grothman expressed concern that, in his words, the country is working toward "just having the government take care of kids before age five."
"What do you think about families who are taking care of their own children? Are you trying to make them obsolete?" he asked.
Young noted that the funds in the budget are about "trying to meet people where they are, economically" and meant to address the fact that often both mothers and fathers need to be in the workforce and that child care costs need to be addressed.
What's highlighted in red was said by a 'confrimed bachelor' who, Retiring Guy ventures, has never been on a date in his life. With anyone.

Middleton Wins Project of the Year Award for MOC. (City of Middleton press release, 5/13/2016)
Construction of the approximately $11.5 million MOC began in the spring of 2014 and was completed May, 2015. The project enables development by Meriter/Unity Point at the former Public Works garage site. It also allowed the City to address current and future needs of a growing community. The scope of the project included relocation of the 51 stall park-and-ride site, building of an 85,000 square foot Operations Center and a 22,000 square foot cold storage building and relocation of a salt storage facility with expanded capacity. The City enhanced the project further by adding a new Recycling Center to the mix.Request for Qualifications, City of Middleton Public Arts Committee
