Day 1122 of GOP election denial hysteria (Trump Big Lie Clown Show Circus, Arizona edition)

ATTACK Of the Clown Show zombies
Starring Cochise County AZ supervisor
TOm Crosby and Peggy Judd
Headline:  AlterNet, 11/25/2023
The Guardian reports that Tom Crosby and Peggy Judd — who both sit on the Cochise County Board of Supervisors — have now been subpoenaed as part of a possible investigation by the Arizona Attorney General's office. Both Crosby and Judd have tried consistently to switch the county's ballot-counting process to a hand count rather than a machine count, resulting in various lawsuits against the county, along with subsequent legal settlements totaling roughly $300,000. Despite Cochise County voting for former President Donald Trump in 2020 by a 19-point margin, Crosby refused to certify his county's election results even after a judge compelled him to do so.

Meet the Wisconsin library antagonists

The Wisconsin proposals would require librarians and school librarians to alert parents about what kids under 16 are checking out.
"I could just see the conflict brewing between certain camps and the libraries," said Rep. Barbara Dittrich, R-Oconomowoc, in an interview with WPR. "I'm a huge supporter of libraries, I love our libraries, and literacy is important to me. And I thought, 'There's got to be an easier way to solve this problem.'"

In other words, the 13 GOP troglodytes you see pictures above want libraries to act in loco parentis.

It is the responsibility of parents and guardians to determine what is appropriate for their own children to check out of the library.  It is not appropriate for them to determine what is appropriate for other children.

CES 2024: Radar Vision Parking from Continental

Express Mobility, 11/25/2023
By combining high-resolution surround radars with high-resolution cameras, Continental says it enables parking use cases that require very precise and close-range measurement around the vehicle. Early parking slot detection, for example, lets users park in a single stroke without driving past the spot. As radars are very compact, they can be mounted behind all painted bumpers. Together with cameras, they provide a redundant, seamless 360deg view around the vehicle. The Radar Vision Parking solution thus cannot only be a substitute for ultrasonic sensors, which are typically used for parking, but even provides better design and performance – while meeting the New Car Assessment Programme’s (short NCAP) safety requirements.

CES 2024: Lumary HDMI sync box

$309.99 at Lumary

Cision, 11/24/2023

Personal opinion:  One of the least necessary 'smart home' items on the market.
Lumary, with its Imvisual core technology based on the HDMI sync box, has achieved real-time color synchronization of Zigbee smart recessed lights and TV backlight with your TV, computer, or projector. Lumary Imvisual HDMI Sync Box with Light stood out from millions of entries to clinch the CES 2024 Innovation Awards. Beyond the recognition from the award's expert judges, what's even more crucial is Lumary's position as a frontrunner in the smart lighting industry, dedicated to innovation and technological breakthroughs, and a keen focus on user needs and the growth of the smart home market.
As the smart home market continues to grow, driven by factors such as convenience, energy efficiency, safety, and comfort, more and more households are turning to smart products to enhance their quality of life and home management efficiency.

GET ME REWRITE: Wisconsin Republicans do the Chicken Dance while Tammy Baldwin gears up for the 3rd term in the U.S. Senate

While Wisconsin U.S. Sen. Tammy Baldwin has yet to draw a high-profile challenger for next year’s election, leaders of both parties agree there's still time for a Republican to emerge and take on the two-term Democrat.
Baldwin won her first election to the U.S. Senate in 2012, defeating former Republican Gov. Tommy Thompson by nearly 6 percentage points. In 2018, she defeated former Republican state Sen. Leah Vukmir by almost 11 percentage points.

The blue highlighting explains why potential GOP candidates are doing the Chicken Dance,.

GET ME REWRITE: Ramasmarmy is toast in Iowa no matter what he does

New York Times, 11/22/2023
He has rented an apartment in Des Moines, the state’s capitol, and plans to participate in the city’s annual Turkey Trot, a Thanksgiving morning run. In the five days before the holiday, Mr. Ramaswamy, 38, hosted over two dozen events, many offering free breakfast, lunch or dinner, eager to answer voter questions.
At recent stops, Mr. Ramaswamy, a political newcomer and millionaire entrepreneur, has made a bold proclamation about his 2024 bid: “If I win Iowa, I’m your next president.”

GET ME REWRITE: Wisconsin GOP leadership seems to be OK with domestic violence offenders carrying guns

Irresistible headline: Wisconsin Public Radio, 11/22/2023
An unclear path in the Wisconsin Legislature
The bill's Democratic co-authors said the state legislation is one way to reduce fatal domestic violence, which Sen. Kelda Roys, D-Madison, said is at a 22-year high in Wisconsin.
The bill is "absolutely clear-eyed in the mission to make sure that Wisconsin does not allow people who are victimized by domestic violence, to be victimized by a partner with a firearm that should have been taken away," said Roys.
Spokespersons for Assembly Speaker Robin Vos, R-Rochester, and Senate Majority Leader, Devan LeMahieu, R-Oostburg, who determine which legislation will appear before the Republican-led Legislature, did not immediately respond to questions about whether the bill will move forward.  [emphasis added]

The Democratic Party leadership is solidly in support of the legislation.
