The popularity of Marie as a baby name was previously graphed in 2017, when it ranked #647.  Let's take another look.

One of the most popular baby names for girls during the early decades of the 20th century, Marie spent 58 years in the top 100, peaking at #7 in 1901, 1903, and 1904.  After 1990, her popularity went into a steep decline, although she's currently treading water in the 600s.

USA box office for the 13th weekend 2017-2026

USA box office on the 13th weekend of 2026 is up 23% compared to last year when A Working Man  was the top-grossing movie.  Project Hail Mary is the #1 movie for the second weekend in a row.

But it's down 46% from a 2017 peak when The Boss Baby ruled the box office for the 2nd weekend in a row.

“Project Hail Mary” only dropped 32% from its debut weekend, signaling the film will have staying power. Its impressive results are welcome news for Amazon MGM, which is investing heavily in theatrical movies by committing to releasing roughly a dozen films in cinemas annually. The move comes after Amazon MGM struggled to define its moviemaking ambitions, first focusing on indie productions, then pivoting to streaming premieres before more recently opting to back populist fare geared for the big screen.

GET ME REWRITE: Ottawa County commissioner Joe Moss wants to move his clown show to Michigan House of Representatives

It's a safe seat for the GOP.

Election results and district map:  Ballotpedia
Headline:  WZZM, 3/25/2026

Steven Bohner reviews Moss's far-right conservative credentials:
Moss co-founded the conservative group Ottawa Impact, who won the majority of seats on the Ottawa County Board of Commissioners in the 2022 election. But the following election, Ottawa Impact only saw four of their nine backed-candidates win.
While Moss served on the board, he noted that he voted to close the DEI Department, voted to change legal representation of the county to the Kallman Legal Group, voted to build and expand the Department of Veteran Affairs and voted to approve body camera funding for the sheriff's department.
