Shane Goldmacher reports:
Officials with the two super PACs decided to cancel all remaining advertising booked for Representative Thomas H. Kean Jr. of New Jersey and Representative Mariannette Miller-Meeks of Iowa over the weekend after internal G.O.P. polling had showed their re-election chances dimming.

Ms. Miller-Meeks of Iowa has won two of the closest House races in the country in recent years, including a remarkable six-vote margin in 2020. Both parties have already spent more than $36 million on the race, according to AdImpact, with $5 million coming from the Congressional Leadership Fund, according to federal records. An affiliated nonprofit group spent $4 million on more ads. Iowa is home to three competitive House races. At least some of the funds cut are expected to go to other races in the state.
