A detour route will redirect traffic along Regent and Park streets during the closure. Brittingham Park will remain accessible, the city said. The Community Development Authority’s master plan for the redevelopment of its residential properties between West Washington Avenue and Park and Regent streets says the existing pedestrian bridge — which was built in the 1960s — is underused, is inaccessible to some and is coming due for structural maintenance.
