From March 20, when Marathon County recorded its first confirmed COVID case, through September 30, the county reported a total of 1,547 cases, an average of 7-8 new cases per day.
Since October 1, Marathon County reported an additional 7,418 cases, an average of 140 new cases per day.
Marathon County currently ranks 23rd among the state's 72 counties in highest COVID-19 positive test rate per 100,000 persons.
