24 days after the storm in Middleton: Pheasant Branch Conservancy just north of Century and Branch

This bridge, reopened to the public last week, escaped damage from the torrent of water that resculpted much of the Pheasant Branch Creek streambed. (Red arrow on map below indicates location of bridge.)

Looking south toward Century Avenue.  The map below shows where some of the floodwater followed an eastern path along the boardwalk.  (Blue arrow pointing to the right.  This section of the conservancy -- the red rectangle -- remains closed.)

Before the diversion.  (Halfway between Century Avenue and the 'red arrow' bridge.)

More of a unpaved boulevard and than shady path it used to be.

Looking to the left.  A wider streambed and lots and lots of sand.

Torrents of floodwater leaves its mark.

A section of trail remains closed.  (Squiggly red line to the right of tip of purple arrow on map below.)
