From May 21, when Taylor County recorded its first confirmed COVID case, through September 30, the county reported a total of 202 cases, an average of 2 per day.
Since October 1, Taylor County reported an additional 817 cases, an average of 16 per day.
During the past week (November 13-19), the county has averaged 36 cases per day.

Since September 1, Taylor County reported an additional 124 cases, an average of nearly 4 per day.
But Taylor County Sheriff Larry Woebeking and the majority of his colleagues made up their minds beforehand not even to encourage the wearing of masks.
