GET ME REWRITE: Covid reality pushes Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds' political credibility with health care workers to the brink

Source:  New York Times

Reynolds said during her address that the new measures are in response to the state's health care system "being pushed to the brink."

I guess the headline writer at the Register didn't to offend Covidiot Kim's tender sensibilities.

Thank you, NPR, for telling like it is upfront.

As far as Covid is concerned, Reynolds' record illustrates a complete failure and unqualified disaster.

Original 10/26/2020 post, "The answer:   Governor Kim Reynolds' fealty to Donald Trump", starts here.

Headline:  Des Moines Register, 10/25/2020
The governor refuses to issue a mask mandate, even though public health experts recommend face coverings. The White House task force has repeatedly called on the state to require them, but Reynolds won't.
And she sure isn’t leading by example.
During a recent rally for Donald Trump, she wore no mask while mingling with others sitting close to each other, some of whom also didn't wear masks. The event defied Reynolds’ own public health disaster proclamation about distancing at gatherings. It ignored task force guidance about masking and limiting the size of groups.

Ms. Reynolds, the first woman to lead Iowa, is an avatar of the president’s approach to the pandemic, refusing to issue mandates and flouting the guidance of infectious disease experts, who say that universal masking and social distancing are essential to limiting the virus’s spread. Defying that advice has eroded support for both Mr. Trump and Ms. Reynolds in Iowa, especially among voters over 65, normally a solid Republican constituency, according to public and private polls.
