CES 2023: Traction by Ampere

Traction from Ampere locks your phone to keep you focused and eliminate distractions. It is a portable, app-enabled phone lock that prevents you from frequently checking social media and other messaging apps. It’s a quick fix for breaking a bad habit. To use it, you place your phone in Traction, set a timer, and you can’t use your phone until the timer runs out. There are also features on the app that track progress, unlock different timer modes and sync with Focus Time in the Apple Health Kit so you can measure your improvements. 

Why We Love It: It’s hard to shut off the phone when notifications are always coming in. Traction takes away any temptation to mindlessly scroll on the phone. It’s the ultimate tool to combat procrastination in the modern age.
