You can't afford a place to live on the federal minimum wage


The federal minimum wage has been at $7.25 since 2009.  Until 1980, regular increases were implemented.

 Need a two-bedroom apartment?  Don't earn a livable wage?  Fuggedaboutit!

In January 2016, Seattle’s minimum wage jumped from $11 an hour to $13 for large employers, the second big increase in less than a year.
