Marissa Payne reports:
Miller-Meeks raised $806,731 in the third quarter of 2025 that ended Sept. 30 and has $2.6 million in cash on hand as she prepares for one of the nation's most competitive congressional races, recent campaign finance reports show.
She survived a recount to win her 2024 race by nearly 800 votes. National Democrats have placed her among their top targets as they look to grab control of Congress in 2026.
Political analysts with the Cook Political Report, Sabato’s Crystal Ball and Inside Elections categorize the 1st District race as a "tossup," meaning either party has a good shot at nabbing the seat. The 20-county 1st District encompasses the cities of Davenport, Iowa City and Indianola.  [emphasis added]
