The GOP gerrymandered 19th State Senate district comprises northern Winnebago County and southwestern Outagamie County, although not all of the City of Appleton, where the majority of Democratic voters reside.
Roger Roth (R-Appleton) has represented the 19th District for 1 term, since January 2019. He previously served one term in the Assembly (2005-06).
Roth is not running for re-election. Current Assembly member Rachael Cabral-Guevera (R-Appleton) and newcomer Andrew Thomsen face off in the August 9th GOP primary. The winner will face Democrat Kristin Alfheim in the November general election.
