Around Town Middleton: The post office's new and improved self-service kiosk

....is out of order.

USPS replacing all of its self-service kiosks with upgraded machines.  (Postal Reporter, 4/28/2018)

The new self-service kiosks feature:
  • Technology to measure the customer’s mailpiece when it is placed on the scale.
  • Single output bin for postage and labels that illuminates and flashes when an item is dispensed.
  • Blue light over the monitor screen that lights up if there is an alert on the kiosk.
  • Scanner that allows the sale of retail products and Ready Post items.
  • Camera that allows employees to transmit pictures to the help desk.
All this and glitches, too.
