From the Pay-to-Play Archives: The William Minihan-Scott Walker Connection

6 days before the election, William Minihan donated $10,000 to Scott Walker's campaign.

 For illustrative purposes only.
(Do I have to add it's not a real document?)

Top Scott Walker aides pushed for questionable $500,000 WEDC loan.  (Wisconsin State Journal, 5/17/2015)
The extraordinary steps led the Wisconsin Economic Development Corp. in 2011 to award a $500,000 unsecured loan to Building Committee Inc., owned by William Minahan, for a proposed project to retrofit bank and credit union buildings for energy efficiency.

In the interest of full disclosure, I offer evidence that the connections go every which way.
Minihan appears to have little concern for party affiliation.  He donated $10,000 to Democratic Governor Jim Doyle in June 2009.  Two month later, Doyle announced that he wasn't running for a third term, much to Minihan's annoyance, I suspect.

He also donated $16,150 to former Wisconsin State Senator Gary George (D-Milwaukee).  A total of 8 donations were made from 1993 until 2004.   George was convicted of a felony, conspiring to defraud the government, in 2004 and sentenced to 4 years in prison.

Don't expect things to change in our lifetime.
