Small business owner Gae Magnafici (R-Dresser) won a first term in the Assembly. Since the 2010 census redistricting went into effect, Republicans have won this district by an average margin of 20.5 percentage points.
Challenger Kim Butler has her work cut out for her in this rematch of the 2018 election. She's running because "our district still needs affordable, accessible Healthcare, fully funded Public Schools, family-supporting Jobs, and strong protections for a Clean Environment. The pandemic has shown the frayed safety net and inadequate worker protections in our nation."
