Let's take a look at the standard spelling of 'Shirlie'
Shirley Temple wasn't responsible for the initial popularity of her first name, but she certainly helped to sustain it into the 1950s. Shirley spent 46 years (1918-1963) in the top 100, 14 of them in the top 10 (1927-29, 1931-41), peaking at #2 in 1935 and 1936. (Her first movies were released in 1935.)
The "Shirlie" variant hit the chart twice: 1926 (#986) and 1935 (#895).
