Unarguably, climate change poses myriad threats to human health including migration of vector-borne diseases, health-related impacts of extreme heat, severe storms, flooding, drought, and the potential collapse of natural and agricultural ecosystems. This region’s population must be protected to reduce the risk of their becoming climate refugees and trapped in deepening poverty.
