My older son, who graduated from college 2 years ago, watches movies, plays games, and accesses social media on his laptop and smart phone.  About a year ago, he talked about buying a tablet but has yet to follow through.

My younger son, who graduates from college next month, doesn't appear to have a tablet on his wish list.  Fortunately, he hasn't been watching movies, playing games, or even using social media much of late.  He's got other priorities, such as completing his senior thesis.
