Excerpt: Why is a neighborhood library branch important?
If you think a library is a static, staid, books-only facility, you’ve probably not set foot in a library for years and years.
It is a place of learning, of meeting, of exploring.
It is a crucial family resource — a terrific place to come together and read and learn.
Isn’t that something a community should value? Absolutely.
