Fond du Lac School Library Book Challenge Moves to Next Step

Excerpt: [Coordinator of Curriculum and Instruction John] Whitsett said the appeal hearing is primarily procedural and will review four points:

Is there a formalized process in the school district for reconsideration of materials?

Was the process followed?

Was the complainant given the opportunity to speak?

Was the school district given the opportunity to respond?

"Assuming all the answers are yes, then the board would find that the procedure was followed," Whitsett said.
