Jared made a few mewling sounds starting in 1938, but by 1960 it looked as though he was going to drop off the chart without a whimper. His stock soared during the 1960s and 70s, enough to carry him along for 28 years (1975-2002) in the top 100. He peaked at #54 in 1982. Looks to be losing his roar now.
