1915. Founded by W. C. Protz as the tinsel Manufacturing Company, maker of Christmas tree ornaments, tinsel,. and toys. (Toys phased out in 1920s.)
1918. Company purchased by W. C. Protz and reorganized as the National Tinsel and Toy Manufacturing Company
1918. Construction of astylistic utilitarian building shown above. Additions made in 1919, 1926, and 1927.
1992. Name changed to Santa's Best, which remains in business.
