On June 9, 2023, the Chaffee County Patriots invited two of these far-right influencers, Joe Oltmann and David Clements, to speak at their monthly meeting. Ark Valley Voice informed our readers of the meeting, and its headliners, and we attended the event which included approximately 50 attendees.
Oltmann, the nationally known far-right podcaster and co-founder of the Colorado Springs-based conservative activist group Faith, Education, and Commerce (FEC United) did not show up, reportedly because he was delayed while working with Mike Lindell, known as the “My Pillow Guy” and a major perpetrator of falsehoods regarding the 2020 election.
